About Jack Seagrove

I am currently studying the master's course 'Global Futures: Geopolitics and Security MSc' at Royal Holloway University of London after graduating with a 2:1 (69.8%) in BSc Geography earlier in July. During my undergraduate degree, I narrowed my focus on geopolitics by completing modules on the geopolitics of media and communication (1st), mobilities (1st), critical geographies of the MENA (2:1), and post-capitalist cities (1st). Alongside these, I completed my dissertation analysing US - Iran foreign relations after the assassination of Qasem Soleimani with a focus on the expansion of drone warfare. In my master's course, I have completed a series of blog posts in the first term evaluating open-source intelligence through the lens of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. These are available at. I aim to keep this website updated with chapters from my future assignments relevant to the topic. In the new year, I will begin a dissertation proposal along the lines of the democratisation of intelligence within the frame of the conflict in Ukraine. Throughout my undergraduate degree and current master's, I work at a local bar and restaurant as a core team member, trusted with all new staff training. Moving forward, I plan on submitting applications for a PhD to investigate open-source intelligence and the materialisation of a geopolitical battlefront on social media platforms.
