I am an experienced and versatile Intelligence analyst, currently working for the Royal Navy Principal Security Advisor (PSyA) in the personnel security section. My goal in 2024 is to become a SOC Analyst, as this will make use of my best skills of being an analyst, and security specialist. As well as utilising my experience in incident response, and communication skills. These skills allow me to become an already highly skilled employable member of any team, despite being a newcomer to the cyber security industry itself. My current role involves being the single point of entry (incident response) for all personnel security incidents in the Royal Navy. This role consists of: 1. Initial triaging of incidents, grading them in terms of their urgency, risk, and importance to front line operational requirements. Assigning incidents to peers and superiors to investigate further as required, as well as conducting investigations myself. Liaison with the affected units local security representatives, arranging and conducting debriefs with Royal Navy and Civil service personnel. Compiling subsequent reports which include a detailed case history, the security implications of the incident, actions taken, and provide advice and recommendations.
