About Jack Sides

Senior Advisor to the Regional Administrator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 6, based in Dallas, Texas. Leads regional coordination with five states and 66 Tribal Nations to implement federal environmental priorities, strengthen partnerships, and support mission execution across all program areas. Served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery branch, leading soldiers both stateside and overseas, including a deployment to the Middle East. Oversaw training, readiness, and tactical operations for PATRIOT Air and Missile Defense units, managing complex missions that required precision, adaptability, and disciplined execution. Graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, majoring in Law and Legal Studies and graduating with honors. Four-year member of the Army Black Knights football team, earning First Team All-Independent honors. Recipient of the 2019 Black Lion Award for leadership, courage, devotion to duty, self-sacrifice, and an unselfish concern to put the team ahead of self.
