About Jack Simpkins

Energetic and adaptable Science Teacher currently teaching KS4 Physics and KS3 Sciences in Prague. I have recently completed the Secondary Science (Physics) PGCE at The University of Bristol. I am qualified and specialised in teaching KS3 and KS4 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics as well as KS5 Physics. I have a TEFL qualification and experience teaching Maths and Science to EAL pupils as well as tutoring Maths to KS3 and KS4 pupils. In 2019 I completed the Acoustical & Audio Engineering degree with professional experience at Salford University. The degree requires skills such as maths, computer programming and the understanding of human perception. After working as a transducer engineer and acoustic consultant I have now decided to pursue a career in teaching. I have experience teaching science and maths to 12-18 year olds and teaching and helping out with a variety of subjects with 7-11 year olds. I love teaching Science and Maths but I also enjoy teaching Spanish, and English as a foreign language. My interests include linguistics, philosophy, and psychology. In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing and yoga. I am a multi-instrumentalist having played trumpet, guitar and keyboard. I also enjoy sound engineering having set up many concerts and outdoors events both as a pupil and school member of staff. I am an avid runner having completed the London Marathon 2023 in 3 hours and 54 minutes whilst raising over for Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
