About Jack Skinner

After graduating from Centennial College in 2016 with a business diploma, I became quite unsure about where I wanted to go in life. After graduating, I was able to learn and grow in the grocery industry, expanding my skills learned during college. This helped me work my way up to become a closing manager in 2020. Yearning to learn more in life and the internet. I found Google and Coursera's UX design courses online. What I like about UX is the creativity to build something while looking at it with others' perspectives in mind. In April 2024, I decided to leave the grocery industry to become a sales associate at The Fairmont General Store at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. As a sales associate, I address shopper needs professionally and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience and maintaining high service standards. This has led to me exceeding sales targets 110% in May, 112% in June and 117% in July during summer 2024. In October 2024, I got the opportunity to become the Shipper-Receiver Coordinator for the Fairmont General Store at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. As a Shipper-Reciever Coordinator, I am responsible for Product ordering, inventory organization and quality assurance.
