About Jack Solomon

Dedicated professional with over two decades of experience serving youth, Jack Solomon is a graduate of Alcorn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and two master degrees in Secondary Education and Guidance & Counseling. Beginning his career as a middle school substitute teacher, he progressed to the role of Dean of Students, overseeing discipline for over four hundred students. Transitioning to Chicago, he then became a special service instructor at Canter Middle School In the Hydepark area. Knowing his work, District 152 then asked him to create and become the Head Master of an Alternative School, focusing on serving third to eighth-grade students. Currently, Jack holds the position of Supervisor and Senior Counselor for the nationally recognized mentor program, Becoming A Man (BAM). All this while also coaching basketball and achieving remarkable success, including ten downstate appearances in 20 years. Beyond his educational roles, he serves as the Program Director for our non-profit and co-founded the Illinois Bobcats, a traveling youth basketball program. Throughout his career, Jack Solomon has positively impacted the lives of thousands. I have the ability to assess, educate, and treat mental and emotion disorders that will hinder ones capacity to live independently. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques used to handle a wide range of issues. Therapeutic techniques used to handle issues such as depression, substance abuse, stress management, self-esteem, aging, education, job, career and relationships counseling dealing with individuals or groups, children or adults. I am a team player and understand that the need of the client is far more important than personal views. I have the education and experience to provide clients with effective skills for life.
