Background
About Jack Thon
I thrive off of others, which is why I enjoy collaborating and working in groups. It is also why I enjoy teaching. I get to work with unique minds all the time and I can't think of a better way to spend my life than learning about what makes other people tick. I believe that there is always room for improvement too, so while I am teaching, I am also learning. In my current job at Prime Time, I learn so much in such a little time. I am constantly finding new ways to manage conflict, work with others, and make learning fun for the 100+ kids attending during the summers. My courses at Susquehanna have provided immensely valuable context for teaching. I practice lesson planning, working with diverse students, and creating an engaging classroom, among many other things. My professors and advisors want me to succeed and it allows me to be the best student I can in preparation for my teaching career.
