Background

About Jack Waeschle

I am a mechanical engineer at Edge Autonomy located in San Luis Obispo. I am eager to learn and apply my skills to the many projects at my company, big and small.I have a passion for the outdoors and sustainability, and am fascinated with the technical design of things individual humans interact with. I find these particular constraints bring out the best in my curiosity and push me to truly understand the end user to best meet their needs.I am an avid rock climber, runner and whitewater kayaker and I love the problem solving nature of these sports, as well as the wild places they allow me to access. Growing up, trips to the outdoors kindled my interest in engineering as many of the tools and gear one relies on are meticulously well made and optimized. I love the challenge of subsisting outside, whether that be carrying all my supplies on my back or weathering storms in a tent.
