About Jackey Robinson

Jackey Robinson is a young and thriving architectural designer that is interested in the way we perceive, experience and contribute to the built environment. Growing up in Washington DC, Jackey has felt a need to better the lives and livelihood of those around him. Early in his studies, Jackey became interested in the social and communal aspects of architecture, specifically those in low income communities seeking reform and education. After earning a Bachelors of Science in Architecture at Morgan State University, Jackey is now a recent graduate of Rhode Island School of Design pursuing with a Master of Architecture with a concentration in Collegiate Teaching. With a background in Architecture and living an urban environment, building within the urban fabric has always fascinated Jackey, with most projects hiding a strong focus on the greater reaches of architecture in it’s urban context. Participating in design build projects, and the fabrication of architecture wearable pieces, his is strongly rooted in iteration + craft. These principals place Jackey within the world of makers, he is not only an architect but most importantly, a designer constantly questioning how we as thinkers can change the lives of those around us even through one project.
