About Jacki Harmon

I have been a teacher and coach my entire adult life. After years of working with middle school students having learning disabilities and emotional and behavioral disorders, it was time for a change. The second day of X-ray school I thought,"I can teach this.I just have to figure it out first!" I have been educating medical imaging students for more than a decade. While I may have traded coaching on the field for coaching in the classroom and clinic, I am passionate about casting vision, developing students into practitioners, believing in them until they believe in themselves, creating pathways for them to achieve their goals, celebrating their accomplishments, and walking beside them through their difficulties. I believe education and learning should be dynamic, innovative, and fun. I challenge students to be critically thinking, problem solving, risk taking, question asking, resilient, life-long learners who actively participate in their own education. I strive to model scholarship and the professional advancement of radiation and imaging sciences by being active in professional organizations. I enjoy promoting and participating in events, speaking and presenting at local, state, and national levels. In 2024, my first submission for publication was accepted and published in the Sept/Oct. edition of Radiologic Technology. I am always open to collaboration opportunities, discussions, and discourse about the future of healthcare and healthcare education. Let's connect.
