I graduated Cum Laude from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in December 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising. My expertise spans various aspects of marketing, including written communication, social media strategy, and branding, and I am proficient in a wide range of computer software. During my college career, I was highly involved in extracurricular activities that strengthened my industry knowledge. As the Public Relations Representative for the Honors Program, I honed my skills in promotions and branding. I also produced the Fall Graduate Fashion Show, collaborating with 17 design students to bring their collections to life. Additionally, I volunteered at numerous fashion shows to gain hands-on experience in event planning and multi-tasking. With a strong foundation in visual styling and merchandising, I spent six years at Nordstrom as a Visual Stylist and Merchandiser for Women’s Trend and Kids. I later transitioned into Visual Merchandising at City Furniture for six months, which paved the way for my current role as a Senior Merchandise Planning Manager in the Marketing Department at City Furniture. In my current position, I play a key role in data-driven decision-making, product optimization, product transitions, understanding trends in the market and project management for merchandising initiatives. I collaborate closely with the merchandising buying, supply chain and visual teams to establish strong cross functional relationships to align strategies implemented across all showrooms while meeting company KPI’s, and ensure merchandising goals are met, and establish standards that meet the brand expectation. I am an extremely organized, self-sufficient, self-motivated, results driven and hard-working professional with a passion for learning, innovating and continuous growth within a dynamic firm. My diverse experience in the furniture industry, fashion forecasting trends, merchandising, and marketing has equipped me with the skills to drive impactful brand strategies and enhance the customer experience.
