About Jackie Diack

I would describe myself as as self-disciplined and self-sufficient. I enjoy focussed work hours, and I have discovered that I deliver my best output when I have a purpose. I also cherish collaborating with good people and welcome a challenge, and any opportunity to grow, learn and share skills. I am confident, capable and caring, always striving for excellence. My skills and experience include various elements of the software development life cycle, from information architecture, content management, and user experience, to development and testing. As a copywriter and marketer, I leveraged excellent language and communication expertise, along with strong organisational and planning skills, to ensure attention to detail, timeous submission and happy customers. I am comfortable negotiating on various levels, have natural people skills, and so get on well with most people. I have completed 3 degrees and a PhD thesis, and have acquired various certifications for software testing, software development, writing for digital platforms, and platform evolution. I have also had the wonderful opportunity of teaching at the University of Johannesburg (Undergraduate to Honours levels). Skills, dedication, reliability and passion allow me to thrive under pressure, and are the reasons I have enjoyed such exciting opportunities and such a varied career path. I strive to excel and do not know how to give any less than my absolute best.
