I am a part owner and operator of Remote Repairs and a passionate sustainability advocate with over 15 years of experience within the Circular economy assisting brands and distributors to meet their sustainability goals. Specializing in reducing textile waste from landfill through product assessment, grading, repairs and restoration of outdoor equipment and apparel. Throughout my career at Remote Repairs, I have worked with over 40 national and global brands implementing sustainable practices with a focus on repairing and re- purposing not fit for sale items to use as ‘feedstock ‘in repairs which negates the use of new materials in the repair process. I have played an integral role in the development of Remote Repairs R4 arm of the business where redundant textiles that cannot be used in repairs, turning these surplus waste textiles into new useable products by creating a line of re-purposed goods, therefore closing the circle. A firm believer in collaboration I enjoy working with diverse teams to create innovative solutions that balance economic growth with environmental stewardship. The knowledge I put into practice during the implementation of R4 helped me lead and implement a successful partnership with Kathmandu’s REDU program. A program where imperfect garments are graded, stitched, repaired and restored to re-enter the economy.
