About Jackie Porter

Growing up and working with a family company that continuously grew provided me with the opportunity to gain perspective from many areas of a business from the ground level up. Making strategic decisions about the company happened around the family supper table and provided me with an understanding of how important communication is on all levels of an organization. Focusing on standard operating procedures with large-scale labour intensive companies has provided me with the ability to understand how the little things roll up into the big picture, allowing me to recognize that the ‘why’ is just as important as the ‘how’ in running any organization. Whether growing or downsizing, change is inevitable within any organization. By learning to embrace change from an early age, I have learned that new opportunities can arise from a positive attitude, sometimes even in the middle of what seems like chaos.
