About Jackie Slaton

Over my 24-year career as a global educator, I have advocated for creating learning environments that are diverse, equitable, and inclusive, preparing students to dominate in the global workforce as innovative and creative problem-solvers. As the Assistant Director of Learning Community Development (LCD) at the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Online Education (CETLOE)@ Georgia State University, I remain committed to creating student, faculty, and staff learning communities for a university with one of the most diverse student populations in the country. I have the privilege of partnering with administrators, faculty, and industry leaders from the Atlanta community to create diverse and inclusive learning environments for Georgia State students. And my award-winning programs and initiatives empower students to use technology to become digital leaders and develop innovative solutions for today's global and social issues while increasing their digital, professional, and leadership skills as they prepare for successful careers in the 21st Century workforce.
