During my time at MEB, I gained invaluable experience working on a major project at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. I played an integral role in material tracking and logging, ensuring accurate inventory management and timely project execution. I assisted with material takeoffs, and collaborated closely with field superintendents to help streamline construction processes, ensuring that materials were available and properly allocated when needed. At Tidewater Development Services Corporation (TDSC), I worked alongside experienced project managers to supervise and coordinate multiple construction projects. My responsibilities included reviewing and processing shop drawing submittals, producing RFIs (Requests for Information), and assisting with project documentation and logistics. I also created and completed submittal registrars at the start of each project, ensuring that all necessary materials and documents were organized and available for seamless project execution. Throughout my internships, I developed a keen understanding of construction management processes, from the ground level to coordination between teams and stakeholders.
