About Jackson Davis

I am a passionate student pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management from the Department of Applied Engineering at Jacksonville State University and intend to graduate in August. With graduation around the corner, I just finished being a member of a plethora of organizations and roles at my university. I was a Resident Assistant for freshman and upper classman residential halls for three years, an Applied Engineering Ambassador for the Department of Applied Engineering for three years, the committee head of Campus Life for Student Senate, the Secretary of Jacksonville State University's ASSP student chapter, Chaplain and Pro-Tempore of the Senate for Alabama YMCA Collegiate Legislators, & a Jacksonville State University Ambassador. This past summer I was an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) intern at Georgia Pacific LLC. My internship project included recreating the Alternative Protective Measures (APM) for all machinery processes, MOPEDs, and other devices that may need one. Currently, I just started my second internship with Georgia Pacific LLC at the Hattiesburg SPG facility in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I am incredibly excited to further grow my knowledge and strengths in Environmental Health & Safety as well as understand how manufacturing and engineering processes play a monumental role in Occupational Safety.
