About Jackson Harvey

I am the Director of Engineering Consortia development, working on scaling our existing manufacturing operations to supporting advanced system research, manufacturing, and testing. My background is in high-power microwave devices used in MW heating applications. At General Atomics I was the Head of manufacturing for the RF Technology Group - overseeing R&D and commercial engineering projects for MW class corrugated waveguide components for mm-wave transmission lines, primarily for ECH transmission lines in nuclear fusion facilities. As the engineering lead on commercial projects I oversee and contribute to all phases of production and consulting engineering contracts. Including component design, computational analysis, drafting, manufacturing, testing (vacuum, RF/VNA, hydraulic …) and delivery. As such I am familiar with standard and advanced manufacturing techniques, materials, and treatments relevant for UHV & irradiated environments. I graduated from the University of Denver with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics. I was a member of DU's Division 1 Lacrosse team, Tau Beta PI, Phi Beta Kappa, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and the NAE Engineering Grand Scholar Challenge program. Expert in Solidworks + SW Simulation & Flow simulation, COMSOL, drafting, MATLAB + Simulink, Excel, Julia, Python, and Java Experienced with MathCad, LabVIEW, Revit, TRANE TRACE 700, & HAP.
