Customer service is the backbone of my career. I have made countless connections and have had many heart-to-hearts that have changed my outlook on life. Meeting new people is the fun perk, but creating a relationship with my patrons has proven to be unbeatable. For two years I worked as a Social Media Representative for Espresso Royale Coffee, IL Region. Content creation was a budding hobby using my own social media as a way to get creative and share life through my eyes. My position allowed me to hone my photography and editing skills while learning more than I ever could have on my own. I created weekly content for multiple store locations and promoted giveaways and raffles to old and new customers alike. Social media acts as an important tool to connect to consumers and establish a bond. Whether it’s used for marketing, research, or amusement, we all share a common need to join together. Creating content with the consumers needs and ideals in mind offered a new perspective towards social media and customer service as a whole. Much of my experience revolves around a magical bean: the coffee bean! Starting out as an inexperienced Barista up to a Cafe Supervisor in a few short years was filled with mistakes, challenges, triumphs, and ongoing education. The science and revolutionary power behind coffee has proven time and time again to be a big factor in how our world (and minds) work, and like people, it’s changing every second. There are always new recipes to test, beans to harvest, and conversations to be held over a freshly brewed cup. Being a part of that process has only heightened my passion for this industry and the values behind it. I most recently served as a Customer Experience Associate for The Farmer’s Dog. Along with my incredible team, I strove to provide an enjoyable experience for our customers when ordering our fresh recipes for their dogs. I educated new and long-standing customers on the benefits of fresh food while ensuring their orders are convenient and correct. Any time an issue arose, I would open an internal investigation to get to the root of the cause so that those instances do not occur in the future. I’ve gained an invaluable amount of experience using CRM and consistently communicate with my team (both in CX and other departments) to ensure we are always going above-and-beyond for our clients. My interest in dog nutrition has sky-rocketed in ways I never expected since taking on this role, and the passion to provide healthy, real food to give dogs a better and longer life is a mission that I will always stand by.
