About Jackson Henderson

As an equipment manager for a Big 10 college program, I prioritize Being Observant, Practical In My Work, and Forward-Thinking; in fact, these specialties improve my surrounding environment. Observant: I like observing people to differentiate the right from the wrong. I do this to get a better understanding of how to do things correctly the first time. For example, first coming on to the football program I had to set up practice but in order to find out where things properly go I had to observe the upperclassman to gain that experience. Now I am able to set up practice with no assistance and receive no complaints. Practical: I try to be realistic in everything I do. When in group projects I don’t propose something that would cause excessive work from the group and make it more difficult than it needs to be. I set realistic deadlines for myself, so I don’t get overworked. When deciding between multiple choices I choose what I find to work out best for me and that tends to be the more practical option. Forward-Thinking: I have been acknowledged by my peers for always planning ahead so I am never overwhelmed. I do this by planning my schedule for the week and never assigning too many tasks for one day, I do what I can handle. Doing this allows me to see what I have to accomplish, turn in, and it helps keep me on track. I like to set myself up for the days to come. In season, I am on the road from Thursday night into Sunday, so it is crucial I have my tasks done before I leave
