Background
About Jackson Hittner
I hold degrees in Finance and Statistics from SMU, along with a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Texas at Austin. My career has centered on applying analytical rigor to strategic challenges, with hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and Excel to build robust data solutions. At the NBA, I’ve partnered with technology and data vendors to ingest, clean, and structure multi-source data, enriching the league’s fan data platform and enabling more precise analysis of ticket markets. Beyond technical execution, I bridge data and strategy. I’ve led cross-functional collaboration with IT, Data Strategy & Analytics, and Finance to manage the league-wide financial reporting suite, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness. I also conduct deep-dive analyses to generate tailored recommendations for senior team leaders, guiding decisions on pricing optimization and revenue growth. This blend of technical expertise and business acumen allows me to connect the dots between raw data, financial performance, and strategic outcomes.
