Background
About Jackson Lacy
I believe in automation for liberation - building digital systems that make the world better for everyone, not just those in power or who have capital. In my day job, I combine technology with relationships to help more people do their philanthropy in a more efficient and equitable way. My work outside of philanthropy has been in local government, helping the suburb I grew up in engage with its city council, and helping the city council be more responsive to the community. I am working to reclaim my own indigenous language and culture as a Māori person from New Zealand, whilst simultaneously working towards living in right relationship with the First Nations of the place where I live: Vancouver, Canada. I'm keen to meet and work with people who care about equity, justice, and doing things the right way.
