About Jackson Low

I am a happily married father of two beautiful children. I used to work as a locomotive engineer for Canadian Pacific Railway unitil it became very apparent that I wasn’t at all enjoying my job. With my wife’s support and encouragement I decided to leave my career after 11 years on the railway to get an education in a Technology field. I always had an interest in computers and technology and the Network Administration course offered at Assiniboine Community College just made sense for me. I studied and worked hard in school and maintained a 3.61 GPA (my goal was 3.5). I loved my job as the Service Desk Analyst in the ITS Department at ACC. I worked with a great group of colleagues that made each day enjoyable. However, my life has directed me to the Winnipeg area as my wife is now currently working here with the City of Winnipeg. It was here in Winnipeg that I got to stretch my legs as an IT professional. As customer service is definitely one of my strongest attributes, I gravitated naturally to support roles that interact directly with end users. I spent a short time with MPI on their help desk team but have since landed with Parian Logistics. For the past 3 1/2 years I have worked and honed my skills and advanced my career with them as their Operations and Support Team lead. It is here that I continue to develop my skills and acquire new knowledge to be a strong team lead and maintain being a valuable asset to Parian's IT department.
