About Jackson Low

I always have the passion of networking and also to deliver great customer experience in the service industry. My experience in accounting and enterprise banking has enhanced my career in People's Association in terms of managing finance as well as managing the internal and external stakes holders for various companies. When i completed my degree in accountancy, i went for a job in a local accountancy firm and had learn a fair bit about how each business operates in terms of transactions and the importance of proper accounting and book keeping in a highly regulated environment in Singapore. As i was getting quite comfortable with accountancy, I have decided to take a leap of faith to step out of my comfort zone towards the banking sector where i joined OCBC (SME Banking - Loans). I had been given the opportunity to work on my sales experience as well as apply my financial knowledge in job. Being in a sales role is indeed challenging as i force myself to improve on my communication skills despite being an introvert person. However, i understood that sales might not be suitable for me in the long run and i decided to make a switch towards a unique organisation, People's Association.What made me decided on the switch would be my passion towards volunteerism and at the same time not forgoing the need to be stable (financially) especially with the standard of living in Singapore. I thought to myself "I can help people, but at the same time still make a living. Isn't this the perfect job?" Here i am, 4 years in People's Association, i am still loving it. My careers in these industries made me understand and curious about what the world has to offer and has also allowed me to learn more about myself. To learn more about my strengths and weakness as well as what is important to me in a career. One should not look to land a perfect job, one should constantly review themselves to be perfect in their job.
