About Jackson Morton

I am a highly motivated teacher with a particular interest in outdoor education; especially leading young people on canoe trips, coaching sports teams and mentoring. I am pleased to be teaching Civics at Lakefield College – while helping coach our basketball, hockey and tennis teams. I have embraced the chance meeting so many young people from around the world and learning about their cultures. I graduated from Queens University in Concurrent Education with a specialization in outdoor education. I’ve applied my learning as a Director at Camp Hurontario to engaging students on the value and beauty of nature. Each of these roles has involved significant interaction with people on a range of issues both inside and outside the classroom. These experiences have made me an excellent problem solver and communicator who is willing to work hard to achieve positive results. Outside of work, I like playing hockey and tennis, strumming my guitar, spending time with my friends and working out in the gym.
