About Jackson Popiel

Hi, I'm Jackson! I'm a multidisciplinary artist, currently doing custom works out of Long Island. I specialize in 3D renderings/Interior Design and Sculpture. My father was a carpenter and sculptor, and I've been traditionally trained by him in tool safety and basic carpentry. I've also taken numerous woodworking and mixed media sculpture classes during my Bachelors program. I have a background in Visual Effects and 3D Modeling. During my Bachelors degree and the year following, I focused in RnD of Virtual Production, VR and Motion Capture technologies. I've set up previz/proof of concept, and consulted on technologies, for projects such as the NOLA Civil Rights Museum Dreamcube Exhibit, and multiple "LED Volume" project bids for companies such as Mercedes, and other Museums. I have extensive experience in CG disciplines ranging from scripting and technical direction, to shading and lighting, all the way to animation. I'm also incredibly knowledgable in the metahumans pipeline. I'm eager to learn any new programs or technologies to further my craft, and apply it to new areas. I also love fishing, videogames, and ceramics (when I get the chance).
