About Jackson Price

I was born to two working-class, first-generation college students in Asheville, NC. I attend Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Appalachian State graduates are known for their work ethic and humility. I am majoring in Accounting but was never the most gifted math student. Instead, I prefer puzzles and problem-solving. I will let the computers take care of the number crunching. I like the pressure, I have ever since middle school baseball when coach would chew us our making an error. I want that meeting with the biggest clients, or the work paper with the ambitious deadline. I want to create value for the client. Instead of the current trends of topic knowledge that is an inch deep and a mile wide, I want to do extremely focused work and deliver solutions for clients to problems they didn’t even know they had. I believe travel is the single greatest tool for bettering oneself as a person, which is why I use every opportunity, whether through school study abroad programs or personal vacations, to go places that force me out of my comfort zone, the most dangerous place to be. I hate the idea of being sidelined. I want to dive into the action, I want to be set loose on the task and conquer it. I look forward to being the tool you reach for when the obstacle looms large. The crutch you lean on when the pressure mounts.
