About Jackson Wagner

One of my favorite quotes is,"Try to learn something about everything and everything about something"-Thomas Huxley. Although I am young, I have taken that quote as my mantra and have taken every opportunity I can to learn new skill sets, new opinions, and become educated in different ways. From the inner workings of an advanced robot to the inside of a 5 star restaurant's kitchen, I have been graced with many chances to explore new settings. As a Cancer Survivor, I spent 8 months in the hospital from age 16-17 and was well versed in my medical treatment and I have a good understanding of the world of medicine and the logistics that take place in a hospital setting. As a survivor, I became a poster child and a frequent spokesperson for the San Diego Make-A-Wish Foundation, and have experience speaking in front of large audiences of close to people. As a student athlete, I have a good understanding of personal fitness and dieting. As a US Navy Sea Cadet Corps Seaman and future Navy SEAL hopeful, I have experience working in collaboration with military personnel in a civilian environment as well as experience in marksmanship and tactics as well as firearm production and gunsmithing. I have also had experience in hiking, camping, and backpacking through the Boy Scouts of America. From grades 9-11, I worked as the President of the Scouting Team and as an officer on the Build Team for San Dieguito High School Academy's FIRST Robotics League, Team 2102 Paradox. On the Scouting Team, I had to search for competitors of my team at events and search for alliances to be created and provide an outreach program for other robotics teams in search of alliance partners. As a Build Officer, I was assigned with the task of metals, plastics, and wood fabrication for parts needed in the robot as well as delegating up to 25 fellow students in similar tasks in the production of the robot. The Core of my work experience comes in the from of Restaurant work.
