About Jacky Wong

Dr. Jacky Wong currently serves as a Data Analytics Advisor in the Internal Audit division of FedEx Express Asia-Pacific (APAC). Since joining FedEx in 2004 as a Business Analyst in the Planning and Engineering group, he has built a distinguished career marked by innovation, leadership, and impact. In 2019, he transitioned to Internal Audit, where he now leads data analytics initiatives that enhance audit effectiveness across the APAC region. Dr. Wong’s work has directly contributed to the recovery of millions of USD in revenue opportunities and cost savings for FedEx. His excellence has been recognized through multiple prestigious awards, including the APAC Excellence Award (2009), APAC Prestige Award (2024), and three FedEx Five-Star Awards (2010, 2018, 2020). In 2016, he led a quality improvement project that earned the APAC Purple Promise Quality Award. Academically, Dr. Wong holds a Ph.D, M.Phil, and B.Eng.(First Class Honours) in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), awarded in 2007, 2002, and respectively. His academic excellence was recognized with the Sir Edward Youde Memorial Scholarship and Fellowship (2003) from the HKSAR Government, and he was named to the Dean’s List of CUHK’s Faculty of Engineering in Dr. Wong is a specialist in operations standards, process design and management, Six Sigma process improvement, training and coaching, optimization, and business analytics. He is highly proficient in data visualization tools such as Spotfire and Power BI, and skilled in VBA and Python programming. He is also a certified Internal Audit Practitioner (IAP), accredited by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and certified Quality Driven Management (QDM) Expert in FedEx
