Background

About Jaclyn Gault

I have a background in community engagement, planning, and design. I understand the importance of building long lasting, authentic relationships and have extensive experience engaging community leaders, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and the general public. I ran my own consulting business focused on providing design and other project services to planning and communications firms. This came out of a desire to mix my creative side with my analytical side, and to use the wide variety of skills I have honed over the years. I have been an assistant project manager, designed several websites, written large reports, and created hundred of graphics. Currently, I am a Community Engagement Specialist at Sound Transit where I focus on racial equity, improving transparency, and leading authentic public outreach processes. I hold a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Design, with a Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s in Urban Studies from San Francisco State University.
