About Jaclyn Ozzimo

During my ten years in the classroom, I've had the opportunity to teach a variety of courses including Psychology, Government, World History, U.S. History, Geography, and Entrepreneurship. I have experience teaching AP, Dual Enrollment, Honors, and on-level courses. My strengths as an educator lie in my creativity, enthusiasm, and sense of humor, which enable me to craft engaging lessons and connect with my students. I aim to foster a classroom environment in which students feel comfortable challenging themselves, making mistakes, asking for help, and engaging in civil discourse. My hope is that my students will leave my class more confident in their abilities, better equipped to articulate their ideas, and skilled at collaborating effectively with others. I take pride in my ability to foster meaningful partnerships with my colleagues, students, and their families, as I firmly believe that relationships are at the heart of teaching and learning. I am dedicated to continuous growth and improvement, both personally and professionally. In particular, I am eager to deepen my understanding of brain-based teaching methods. I am also excited about the possibilities that emerging technologies, such as AI, hold for enhancing teaching and learning experiences.
