About Jaco Klamer
I was born in Kawagit, a small village in the jungle of Papua, Indonesia. For eleven years I climbed trees, caught mice, hunted for birds and explored the rivers in my own dugout canoe. Ever since then I have had a weak spot for people in hopeless situations and like to capture them on film when I was travel the world with my camera. Traveling is in my genes, but most of my time is spent working in the Netherlands, capturing a large variety of Dutch subjects. I enjoy photographing people in spontaneous and everyday situations, ranging from recreational activities to professional settings.
