About Jacob Ackerman

Hello everyone, I am a Sophomore at Fordham’s Gabelli School of Business and I’m majoring in finance with a 3.8 GPA. Outside of school I spend most of my time in Fordham’s fitness center and I am planning on joining multiple clubs related to finance and investment in hopes to expand my knowledge. When it comes to work, my first job was a self-operated landscaping job as I cared for the lawns and pools of multiple customers. Following that job, I began working for my dad’s company, Imagine This Design Group, where I helped with carpentry and remodeling jobs. Next, I worked as a maintenance man at Jada Blitz Fitness, that job included taking care of the gym and keeping the high standard that the private owner holds. Most recently, I worked remotely for ClaimsHero, a legal firm, where I analyzed data over the summer of 2024. I plan to return to ClaimsHero for the summer of 2025, working hybrid this time as opposed to just remotely. My interests lie in the fashion, fitness, and gaming industries and I hope to one day find a job in one of them on the finance side. I am seeking out any experiences to get involved in these industries and deepen my knowledge of them. So, I would be extremely grateful to hear of any opportunities and hope to soon find an internship here in New York City. Anyone may reach me at jackerman12@fordham.edu. Thank you so much for your time.
