About Jacob Bal

Kennedy Krieger Institute is a leading non-profit organization in the Baltimore area that provides in-patient and out-patient medical care, community services, and school-based programs for children and adolescents with a variety of developmental and acquired medical conditions and disorders. As a Manager of Speech Language Therapy in the Center for Autism Services, Science, and Innovation (CASSI™) and with over 10 years of leadership experience in the healthcare industry, I have a unique combination of business acumen and clinical knowledge that enables me to oversee the daily operations and strategic growth of our multidisciplinary clinics. In my role, I am tasked with identifying and implementing various initiatives to improve the quality and efficiency of the program, such as streamlining workflows, optimizing operations, and enhancing communication, ultimately increasing the impact our services have on the autism community. I also strive to foster a collaborative and supportive culture among the staff, ensuring that they have the resources and training they need to follow their passions while delivering exceptional care to our clients. Additionally, I am pursuing my MBA at Yale School of Management, where I am enhancing my financial and operational competency with particular focus on the healthcare sector. I am passionate about improving the lives of children and families through innovative programming, and I am always eager to learn and grow as a leader and a professional.
