About Jacob Belin

The important details of my career began in the summer of 2016. I was offered an internship with BHP Billiton: New Mexico Coal. That internship motivated me to focus on engineering and my future professional career. The University of Puget Sound is a very accredited, private university which posed a major challenge of balancing my status as a student-athlete. Through a rigorous academic and athletic schedule, I believe my time-management, discipline, and prioritization skills were developed. I obtained a second and third internship with North American Coal: Bisti Fuels for the summers of 2017 and 2018. A primary target for those summers was to mature into an independent and accountable employee. In utilizing the concepts in my deiscipline, I contributed focused work to the various departments I was involved with. After transferring universities, I began to involve myself at Northern Arizona University with student organizations and part-time jobs to support myself. During October 2018 was the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) National Conference. I took advantage of the organizations wealth of resources and obtained an internship with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for powertrain engineering for the summer of 2019. I returned for a second internship at FCA the following summer in 2020 as a valve-train and timing drive intern. These experiences blossomed into full time employment in February 2021 as a Propulsion Systems engineer.
