About Jacob Blevins

I graduated from Georgia College & State University in Fall of 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Since February 18th, 2020, I've been working at Robins AFB in the 579th Electronic Warfare Squadron of the 402d Software Engineering Group following an internship during the Summer of 2019. Since then, my experience has primarily focused on becoming educated on Electronic Warfare concepts and using what I learned during my undergraduate studies to develop and maintain legacy systems and ensure compatibility with emerging software within our group. The project I work on at Robins AFB is chiefly programmed in Ada and relies on an Oracle relational database implementing Oracle Forms through Weblogic. I've written a many stored procedures and a couple of packages in PL/SQL either directly into the Forms or as schema objects. Executable processing of database information is done by implementations of Pro*C, Oracle's embedded SQL C-code generator. Some miscellaneous work to support this project has been written in C, C++, and Python. I've also had experience setting up Git repositories with Git LFS for our team's airgapped Azure DevOps environment. All of this is tightly coupled with keeping documentation updated and users briefed on usage. Other times, I've had to take up scrum responsibilities and the projection of productivity data to management. With this, I have gained some modest experience of configuration management. Our team has adopted an organization-wide attempt at Agile within the past two years, which has benefited the customer by allowing faster iterations of our software to be released to them with the most current concerns.
