About Jacob Breed

I am a college student attending St. John Fisher University. I have a passion for chemistry as well as education. Over the 2 years I have been attending Fisher, my love for education has only grown with my experiences. I have had 70 hours of experience in the classroom as of May 2022. I will also be substitute teaching in May and June 2022. This will prepare me for an environment where I am the authority figure and be placed in a teaching position without the aid of a school-based educator (SBE). Other work experience includes my 2.5 years working at Wegmans as a cashier. This has given me an introduction to the working environment and has helped me understand the management of time, the responsibility of coming to work when needed, as well as a work ethic that can be taught by working long hours at a register. One of the most important lessons of this job is also customer service and working with others. When I am at the register I try to aid and make sure the customer is as comfortable as possible. One day I would be grateful to become a successful teacher in a school district once I graduate and receive my master's. But until then I will be working hard in school as well as at work.
