About Jacob Dawson

Hello, I have been working at Costco since I was 18. Over the past 10 years I have realised that retail is probably not for me. I have tried a few different roles, but non of them have lit a passion in me. I am a ferm believer that anyone can do anything if they try hard enough. I don't wish to spend my entire career doing one thing and feeling unfulfilled, so that is why I've joined LinkedIn. I first remember doing silly voices as a kid playing with my toys and copying cartoon characters. But now since having a child of my own I found myself giving his toys and the characters in his books voices and personalitys of their own. It wasn't until a friend of mine told me that he had started playing dungeons and dragons and that if I wanted to join then I could. I was unsure at first so I decided to watch critical role on YouTube. Seeing these voice actors enjoy the game and the roleplaying that was involved sparked an interest in me that I had to act on. Over the past two years I've been playing D&D. Creating voices, characters and using improv to develop my skills as an actor. I am looking for any and all voice acting roles big or small to help start my career in this exciting industry. Thank you.
