About Jacob Edwards

I partner with schools, districts, and state agencies to build positive, proactive, and sustainable behavior systems within an MTSS framework. My work helps unify staff around Tier 1 expectations, support systems for students who benefit from Tier 2 and Tier 3 services, and a shared approach to schoolwide culture. As a consultant, co-author, and national speaker with Safe & Civil Schools, I support the full K–12 ecosystem — from state superintendents to school bus drivers — helping leadership teams, teachers, counselors, and classified staff create structures that improve student behavior, strengthen teacher efficacy, and support equity-driven implementation. My work includes behavior system design, PBIS implementation, coaching for classroom management, and addressing chronic absenteeism — always grounded in connection, clarity, and practical next steps. I co-authored the third edition of CHAMPS and the fourth edition of Discipline in the Secondary Classroom — both designed to help educators make effective, relational decisions about student behavior. I believe in affirming what’s working, challenging what’s not, and building systems where adults thrive and students succeed.
