As a Catering and Events Operations Manager, I currently lead the planning and execution of high-quality event deliveries throughout the Charlotte area. My role blends operational precision with team leadership. I coordinate with our warehouse staff to maintain equipment inventory, ensure all delivery vans are properly loaded, and assist delivery teams in meeting strict standards of timeliness, professionalism, and presentation. Whether it's a corporate function, a wedding, a celebration of life, or a private birthday party, I make sure every detail is accounted for to create seamless, stress-free experiences for our clients. My background is built on curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong work ethic. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Grove City College and pursued graduate-level coursework toward a Master’s in the Philosophy of Science at Virginia Tech. Although I decided not to pursue a career in academia, my time studying philosophy sharpened my ability to think analytically, articulate complex ideas, and lead thought-provoking conversations—skills that now enhance my ability to communicate clearly and lead with empathy in professional settings. For over a decade, I’ve held leadership roles in the food and beverage industry, working as a Banquet Captain and Executive Chef for major hotel brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Omni Hotels. These experiences deepened my ability to lead diverse teams, solve problems on the fly, and deliver consistent results under pressure. I became a go-to person for onboarding new staff, training them in both soft skills and operations, and building a collaborative work culture focused on continuous improvement. Now, I’m looking to transition into a Corporate Trainer role where I can combine my operational expertise, leadership experience, academic background, and people-first mindset to design and deliver impactful training programs. I thrive when helping others grow, simplifying complex information, and creating structured, engaging learning experiences that make people feel more confident in their roles.
