I'm a former Investigative Counsel with the January 6th House Select Committee, where I focused on the role of domestic violent extremism and social media in the attack on the Capitol. I previously served as counsel to Rep. Jamie Raskin on the House Oversight Committee, where I managed a investigation by the Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties into the rise of violent white supremacy and the federal government's response to that threat. During that time, I was also a counsel on the legal team for the House Managers during the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.I currently work as Senior Policy Counsel at the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown University Law Center. There, I continue to focus on how government and private actors can work to defuse our ongoing crisis of political violence and vigilante activity by private militia groups that threaten democracy.
