About Jacob H. Thomas

I’m a student at the Illinois Institute of Technology studying math and physics in hopes to better understand our universe through mathematical formulations. Topically, I am interested in consilience, mathematics, physics, biology, pedagogy, philosophy, economics, policy, diplomacy, cinematography, sociology, psychology, computology, musicology, history, linguistics, and art. With respect to my research and academics, I am focused on theoretical and phenomenological high energy physics, physics-informed machine learning, the bridge between mathematical approaches and physical systems, and the way one can use computational approaches to understand that bridge. However, much of this is in preparation to enter the field of quantum computation with a strong background in the foundations of math and physics that define quantum computing.
