About Jacob Haynes

I am a Professional Engineer licensed in the state of Virginia with seven+ years of experience as an electrical engineer. During my first three and a half years, I worked as an Electrical Design Engineer for Innovative Refrigeration Systems where I designed power and control systems for industrial refrigeration systems. For the following two years, I joined American Electric Power as an Engineer Associate where I assisted with improvements to the SCADA system and Power Flow Estimation software. Presently, I am employed at E.K. Fox & Associates providing electrical design services for power, lighting, and telecommunications on various types of projects.My colleagues see me as a motivated individual with an eagerness to learn, lead, and be thorough. I have been complimented for my willingness to listen to suggestions from skilled workforce on making designs more serviceable. I have served as a mentor to new employees to welcome them to the company. Co-workers have praised me for paying attention to detail and developing thorough designs.Prior to my employment as an engineer, I obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a B.S. in Applied Physics from Bridgewater College.
