About Jacob Hernandez

I am a Senior at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and a minor in Business. Some major focal points of my academic coursework have been statistics, policy/data analysis, and financial foundations. Some of the technical skills I have drawn from these courses, as well as professional experiences, include Microsoft Suite, R/R-Studio/Markdown, Stata, and economic/financial and statistic methods for modeling and analysis. Outside of class I have enjoyed operating as the Vice President of the Texas Men's Volleyball program, as well as operating as being a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society, and the Texas Economic Association. I strongly value my personal sense of leadership and loyalty in tandem with a high motor and a detailed-oriented mindset. I am passionate about opportunities which combine my personal, technical, and financial skills with projects and problems that extend beyond the surface of a role. I am interested in exploring internships or careers with a main interest in economics/finance and data analysis. I am primarily seeking opportunities in Dallas, TX, or Austin, TX, but feel free to connect regardless as I am always seeking new connections.
