About Jacob Kenison

Dual diagnosis mental health and substance abuse disorder treatment have been my career since 2015. However on a personal level they have been a part of my life for 25 years. I am a person in long term recovery from SUD, my family lost my beautiful little sister to the disease of addiction. I’ve seen how mental health/trauma/substance abuse can rob families of the person they love. I’ve seen/done/heard the horrible things those suffering will put themselves through, and what they will unwillingly become in order to survive these issues. I am honored to be a licensed social working activity helping those still suffering through the obstacles they face to treat and subdue the mental health issues they are suffering from. I serve on the board of USARA (Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness) with great pleasure. I am always looking for new ways to serve or become a bigger part of the professional field of the mental/behavioral health fields. I hope to connect with as many like minded professionals as possible. Future Ph.d/doctorate student.
