About Jacob Kirk

I enlisted in the United States Army on August 8th, 2002, in Spokane, Washington. I have served honorably for over 20 years in the Army. I have served in every Leadership position in the Cavalry from Team Leader through Operations Sergeant Major. Additional leadership positions include Operations Non-commissioned officer in Charge, Ranger Instructor, and Recruiter. My assignments include Fort Polk LA, Fort Drum NY, Coeur D’Alene ID, Camp Merrill GA, Fort Benning GA, Fort Bliss TX, and currently Fort Bragg NC. My overseas assignments include Schweinfurt Germany, Grafenwöhr Germany, and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. I have deployed to Iraq twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I-II and VI-VII and twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XI-XII and Operation Freedoms Sentinel I have a bachelor's degree in Leadership and Workforce Development from the Command and General Staff College (CGSC). My Military education includes Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Maneuver Senior Leader Course, and the Sergeants Major Academy. Other Courses include Ranger School, Pathfinder School, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Cavalry Leader Course, Recruiting School, Army Basic Instructor Course, Basic Military Mountaineering Course, Advanced Military Mountaineering Course, and the Commanders First Sergeants Course. My awards and decorations include the Bronze Star (3rd Award), Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and the Army Achievement medal (8th Award). Army combat and special skill badges and tabs include the Recruiter Gold Badge with three Sapphire Stars, Pathfinder Badge, Airborne Senior Wings, Combat Action Badge, Ranger Tab, and Moldovan and German Foreign Jump Wings.
