About Jacob Kirschbaum
I first learned to fly when I was 16 years old at the Port Townsend Aero Museum. Here I earned my Private Certificate and tailwheel endorsement while gaining experience flying antique aircraft and working alongside mechanics in the maintenance and restoration shop. After high school I came to the University of North Dakota to pursue a degree in commercial aviation with a safety specialization. Here at UND I have earned my Commercial single/multi certificate, instrument rating, and CFI certificate. I spent the summer of 2021 working full time at the Port Townsend Aero Museum as a mechanic's assistant and flight instructor for the youth program. I then spent the next semester flight instructing at UND while finishing my degree. After graduating in December of 2021 I took a job flying Aerial Survey in Cessna 310s. this job has me traveling around the country working surveys in busy airspace around varying terrain and weather conditions.
