About Jacob Lessing

Hi! I'm a senior at Yale studying applied math and mechanical engineering with a focus on robotics path planning, control, and programming. I also enjoy trail running, learning anything, and meeting people! Stories are a powerful thing, so please reach out, because I'd love to hear yours. I'm currently seeking a position in robotics software engineering. Math and engineering, to me, are a toolkit and problem-solving framework. I've applied this to quantum modeling of materials, analyzing demographic data, making a medical device and building robots. I worked full time as a special ed teaching assistant during my gap year. I have done engineering and physics R&D in my summers, building up the skills to not just do, but innovate on, robotics problems.
