About Jacob Linder

Eclectic" is the best word to describe me, Jacob E. Linder. I listen to every single brand of music you can think of on this planet! From Hank Williams Sr to Red Hot Chili Peppers to a number of bands that you probably have never heard of at all! My favorite sports teams are spread out across the nation but my views and my values are right at home. I was very involved with 3 different Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. I am always striving to better myself and my career now and for the future. I was the President of the Student Alumni Council, the Treasurer of Saluki Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization. I graduated in 2016 with a BA from the Radio/Television/Digital Media. I was heavily involved as a leader of the on-air staff and sports department of WIDB the Student Run Radio station during my tenure at SIUC. I earned a created position after some solid interviews with Miller Media Group in Taylorville & Clinton, IL out of college. Once there I established myself as a "swiss-army knife" in this world of radio, not only hosting and creating content for a pair of morning shows on both talk and music stations, but creating, selling, and servicing marketing/branding plans for area businesses in central Illinois. I have since taken my talents to Withers Broadcasting in Mt. Vernon, IL. I first took on the role of News Director to get my foot in the door and have now evolved that position into being heavily influential in promotions, programming, sales/marketing, and continuing all the while to create content on-air as well as social media since October of 2017.
