About Jacob Murphy

My favorite game growing up was Operation. The amount of focus and steadiness that it required to remove the different body parts, immediately stole my attention. I specifically remember handling the tweezers as if they were extensions of my fingers, while I slowly grabbed the wishbone out of the plastic board. Every once in a while, that red nose would flash and my hand would be zapped from touching the side of the board. I had to try to grab that piece again until I retrieved it perfectly to save my plastic patient. This competitive and relentless practice ultimately began my path toward the medical field. I am an outgoing, personable, and driven person. I excel in patient interactions and problem-solving. Working as a medical assistant and shadowing multiple medical providers has allowed me to enhance my patient skills. My immeasurable compassion and critical and analytical skills are qualities that will set me apart from others
